All About Science

The Bird’s Song

Can a female bird tell the difference in male bird performance? According to a new study, she knows. And the prefers the special trills male bird creates when he sing to her. If the male bird notices a female nearby, he speed up the pace of their song and controlled the notes they used.

The Fastest Plant on Earth

A bunchberry dogwood might be fastest plant on earth. It’s tiny flowers, which is a few millimeter only, can release pollen and spread it just for a second. It is very fast, not even a camera can capture the action.

The Fly of Bat

Is a bat flying like a bird? Both of them have different way of flying. Bats have solid, heavy bones, which would make them flying tough. Their flexible wings enable them to change direction quickly, so scientist must use extremely fast camera to study these animal in their fly.
Catch Dragonfly

Dragonflies are quick and smart animal. People called them little helicopters. They like to changing direction in an instant. No one can ever catch them with their bare hand. Dragonflies are long-distance flyers just to move to a warmer place.

Jellyfish

A jellyfish’s stinging cells can give you a rash and can even make you very sick. According to the scientist, jellyfish ate a lot of little plankton. Sometimes it protected the young fish from birds, fish and other animals that might eat them.

Animals Need Sleep

Like people, animals also take time out to rest. You’ve probably watched your dog snooze away, curled up in its bed. Sleep is a way for animals saving energy, learning and forming permanent memories.

Tiny Pterodacty

Some researchers found tiny pterodactyl. It has been named Nemicolopterus Crypticus, which is means “Hidden Flying Forest Dweller”. This dinosaur had no teeth and it lived 120 million years ago.

A Glacier

A glacier is a moving hunk of snow and ice that stay frozenfrom year to year. Glaciers are powerful but fragile. They just can not stand the heat . Glaciers hold a lot of freshwater and when their melting makes sea levels rise.

Life Under Ice

Some researchers drilled a hole in Antartica. They had to dig through 480 meters of ice just to get the ocean underneath. The researchers found out more than 2 dozen species of sponges, sea urchins, eels, also sea snail can life under water.

Game Make You Smart

Games like Rubik’s Cube, Puzzle, Checkerboard, and also Chess can make you smart. Those game sound fun, but it can help you to solve real world problems. Some scientists say that playing these game can lead a serious science.

Cool Penguins

Raising a baby takes a lot of work, especially when that baby is a king penguin. King penguins can live for up to 30 years and they depend on cold and ice. But a new study suggests that a warming weather could bring big trouble for them.

Old Rocks

Do you know that rocks around us are very old? Scientists explain that Earth formed about 4,5 billion years ago. The rock comes from hot and liquid rock, called magma. Then, the whole area cooled and forming what we see today.
